Despite reports of possible trades, Giancarlo Stanton, Christian Yelich, Marcell Ozuna, Martin Prado, and Justin Bour did not get dealt.
Monday meant nothing for the Marlins in terms of trades, but it meant everything to the organization, friends, and family of the late Jose Fernandez.
He would have turned 24 years old today.

The departure of AJ Ramos (NYM) helps Miami rebuild their farm system. A farm system that has zero players listed in MLB’s Top-100 Prospects list.
Both players, Gonzalez and Cespedes, fit nicely into the Marlins’ Top 30 prospects list at No.6 and No.24, respectively.
