On Friday, the Mets added RP AJ Ramos from the Marlins in exchange for RHP Merandy Gonzalez and OF Ricardo Cespedes. With one year of arbitration remaining, the Mets will look for Ramos to help them in 2018 as well.
Perhaps most notable, the Mets send Addison Reed to Boston for more-controllable assets.

Addison Reed is now a member of the Boston Red Sox and the Mets were able to obtain three pitching prospects in return. Right-handed pitchers Stephen Nogosek (No.23) and Jaime Callahan (No.29) are considered top-prospects for them.
The 22-year-old, Gerson Bautista will report to High-A St. Lucie. Reed will be a free-agent at the end of the season.
