The Tampa Bay Vipers continue to prepare for the upcoming season, unfortunately today they may have lost a key offensive weapon during practice.
Plant City, FL — It was half way though practice and the Tampa Bay Vipers season may have taken a turn for the worst when former Florida Gator and Cleveland Brown, Antonio Callaway, was carted off the practice field.
“He’s got a lower leg injury,” Coach Marc Trestman said at the conclusion of practice. “Doctors haven’t looked at him yet, so I’m going to hold on any kind of injury report. The extent of it was relative to you saw we had to take him off [on a cart].”
It was a scary sight watching the newly signed Viper down on the field in obvious distress. With his helmet off and pounding the ground, numerous teammates came over to check to see if their new teammate was alright.

What to watch for
The XFL has not made teams release their official depth charts yet, but with the league kicking off in ten days – 11 days for the Vipers – that announcement should be right around the corner. So before you do all your XFL fantasy drafts, I’d recommend waiting a few more days.
Also, watch out for a possible Vipers podcast featuring yours truly. We’ll be working on that in the near future.
