WWE RAWtrospective 11/13/17: Time To Play The Game!

The RAW team rounds the final stretch as they head into Survivor Series, by adding a King to a crucial chess match. Will it sway the odds Sunday?

Stephanie McMahon is back and she’s talking about Survivor Series and Kurt Angle’s decision to add his “son” to a high stakes match-up.

She questions his ability to lead. Enter the Shield, at full strength!

Roman Reigns is back and he’s looking great. They defend the job that Kurt has done and they lay out a challenge for the New Day which was later accepted.

The Final Spot

Bayley is able to overcome the odds in a triple threat match against Mickie James and Dana Brooke to gain access to the fifth and final spot on the Raw Women’s team at Survivor Series.

A Bayley-To-Belly Suplex was all she needed to end the night for her opponents.

We witnessed Asuka decimating Dana Brooke with a spinning roundhouse kick after Dana tried to punk her out. That was a bad call to say the least.

Rumors were running rampant for a Paige return, it didn’t happen tonight.

Cruiserweight Action

Enzo Amore, and the criminally underrated Drew Gulak, secured a tag team victory over Kalisto and Akira Tozawa when Enzo scored the pinfall following Jaw-done-zo on Tozawa.

The heels gained needed momentum as Enzo heads into his title defense this Sunday on the pre-show against Kalisto.

MizTV

The segment ran a little long to be honest, but the IC Champ had his special guests, the new Raw tag team champions, “The Bar”, which consists of Sheamus and Cesaro, on the broadcast.

They spoke at length about a six man tag later on where they would compete against the Shield.

All three men are eager to secure victories heading into their respective matches against the Usos and Baron Corbin this Sunday.

Winning the Battle, Losing The War

Kurt Angle’s Son, Jason Jordan, put on a solid matchup against the returning Bray Wyatt. “The Eater Of Worlds” lost this contest after Jordan rolled him up for the three count.

After the match, Bray had the last laugh as he attacked Jordan and took out his knee using the ring-post. Jordan hobbled to the back and the fans were less than receptive to the plight of this young talent.

She Said Yes!

Things we learned tonight, don’t EVER propose during a Paul Heyman promo. Heyman took his liberties with a young couple and their special moment and it was terrific. It will surely be something they’ll remember.

Speaking of which, we are sure to get our money’s worth this Sunday as “The Beast Incarnate” competes against the new world champion over on Smackdown, the electrying AJ Styles.

What a contest that is sure to be with the clash of styles, no pun intended.

There is a great deal more money to be made from this scheduled matchup over the initial Lesnar/Mahal bout which nobody had interest in seeing unless you wanted Brock to win that one in record time.

Believe In The Shield

We did just that in the six man tag. The Miz was no match for the Cerberus, a triple powerbomb that ended his night. Roman Reigns was on fire and both Rollins and Ambrose had fun taking apart the heels as they look to Sunday and a match with the New Day.

Time To Play

Kurt Angle is set to remove his son from the ten man tag and a tearful Jason Jordan pleads his case in a showing of rare emotion from the young talent. This will ultimately lead to his heel turn as many have speculated.

Kurt seems ready to give in to his son’s pleas, saying he’ll be ready for Sunday.

Stephanie McMahon is out and she isn’t pleased.

We hear greatly familiar music and the legendary Triple H graces us with his presence! “The Game” takes a mic and announces himself as the fifth member of Team Raw! Wow!

He teaches Jason Jordan a needed lesson in front of his beloved father, as he takes advantage of the kid’s injury, grounding him with the feared Pedigree. Kurt looks on, but he has to know that now the scales are tipped in his favor.

Unity

Finn Balor and Samoa Joe work as a cohesive unit to take care of Balor’s former “good brothers” in Gallows and Anderson.

The two looked good together and it was smart booking to have these enemies work as a well oiled machine heading into their big match this weekend.

Collapse

We’ll have to hit the pause button on the developing feud between “The Demon” Kane and “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman.

These two behemoths went after each other and they ended the night after Strowman put Kane through the ring following a running powerslam!

The crowd loved the spot and this feud will continue, but it’s on hold for now as Strowman looks to Survivor Series Sunday as do we all! A sound way to end the week for Monday Night Raw!
