One of only two quarterbacks (Tom Brady) in NFL history to earn 200 victories, Peyton Manning is a guy whose name is called whenever the conversation of the greatest of all time is brought up. Manning holds all meaningful passing records including all-time passing yards in a season(5,477) and career(71,940), passing touchdowns in a season(55) and career(539). His records would take up the entire page.
Peyton Manning spent most of his 18 year career with the Indianapolis Colts, the team that drafted him with the number one overall pick in the 1998 NFL draft. Manning brought the city of Indianapolis eight division championships, two AFC championships, and one Super Bowl title. After having neck surgery and missing all of 2011, the Colts thought he wouldn’t be the same and decided to move on.
Peyton showed the doubters wrong by joining the Denver Broncos and finding instant success. In 2013 he broke the NFL record for yardage and touchdown passes in a single season. Manning spent the last four years of his career in Denver, sporting an impressive .789 winning percentage in his regular season starts.
Manning is a five time MVP and has two Super Bowl rings. Manning decided to call it a career after winning Super Bowl 50 and is a guarantee to become a first ballot Hall of Famer.
Although now retired, Manning is not exactly taking it easy. He has appeared in multiple commercials, hosted Saturday Night Live and owns multiple Papa John’s franchises in the Denver area.
