Another good quarterback on the list in danger of finishing his career without any rings, and least he can find solace in the fact he is the best player to wear the number 17. Philip Rivers has been extremely durable throughout his career, starting every game for the Chargers since Drew Brees departed for New Orleans.
Rivers has put up impressive numbers so far, passing for 45,833 yards and 314 touchdowns. In 2016, Rivers passed Dan Fouts in for most passing yards all-time by a Charger. Philip tends to wear his emotions on his sleeves, although you wouldn’t guess it by looking at his numbers.
Rivers holds a few NFL record including two straight games with over 400 yards passing and highest completion percentage for a quarterback throwing for over 400 yards in a game. His chemistry with tight end Antonio Gates is almost unmatched, as the two have hooked up for 77 touchdowns, an NFL record between quarterback and tight end.
