There are numerous good choices to pick for #12. Love him or hate him, there is no denying Brady is not only the best player to wear #12, but one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history. After grabbing his 5th ring this past season, the argument against him being the G.O.A.T has only gotten weaker.
A shoo in for the Hall of Fame, Brady’s numbers and accolades are already Canton worthy, and at age 39, he is showing no signs of slowing down. ‘Tom Terrific’ has made it quite clear that he wants to play well into his 40’s, and at the high level he is still playing at, there is no reason not to believe him.
Brady has been selected to 11 Pro Bowls and won two league MVPs. Brady has also led the Patriots to five Super Bowl victories and was the MVP of the big dance four of those times. Brady has faced backlash for wearing his emotions on his sleeves and his involvement in the DeflateGate scandal. Brady was suspended for his involvement in the scandal for the first four games of 2016, but that didn’t deter Brady who threw for 28 touchdowns to just two interceptions during the regular season.
Last season also saw Tom Brady surpass his longtime rival, Peyton Manning, atop the all-time wins list by an NFL quarterback. Brady currently sits at 208 career wins, and will surely build upon that number moving forward.
Honorable Mention: Roger Staubach, Aaron Rodgers and Terry Bradshaw .
