We begin the show with Alexa and Becky having a contract signing. It turned in to an altercation and we go to our first commercial break.
Daniel Bryan and Miz have a backstage confrontation about The Miz’s contract. Miz threatens to not wrestle, Daniel threatens to let him go. Daniel says they’re not renegotiating his contract and if he doesn’t wrestle tonight, he’ll be stripped and fired. Miz walks away.
MATCH. 01: AMERICAN ALPHA v THE USO’S (#1 CONTENDER MATCH)
A lot of high pace action, The Uso’s working on Gable’s “injured” leg for most of the match and a lot of sort of chain wrestling spots. After a few near falls, and building for American Alpha….
WINNERS: THE USO’S VIA PINFALL
After the match, a bit of trash talking happens and we get “Beauty & Man Beast” backstage eating crackers and cheese whiz talking about the match and trying to come up with a chant for the fans. Uso’s interrupt and start talking trash on them, Rhyno breaks his crackers and we get an ad for Orton v Rowan tonight into commercial.
Back from commercial and Swagger is on commentary.
MATCH. 02: BARON CORBIN v APOLLO CREWS (SINGLES MATCH)
Corbin actually dominated most of the mactch, Apollo had a series of offensive flurries but, Baron proved to be too much.
WINNER: BARON CORBIN
After the match, Baron went to attack Apollo but Swagger jumped off of commentary and got in the action and stopped him. Commercial break.
Back from break and we have Nikki and Naomi backstage talking about Natalya and Nikki talks about how every match could be her last. Then they go to Renee with Dolph at the Gorilla Position, getting ready to go through the curtain. He talks about the match and how this is his last shot. HIT HIS DAMN MUSIC!!
MATCH. 03: DOLPH ZIGGLER v THE MIZ (INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH)
Dolph “Diggler” and Miz had a MUCH BETTER match than they did at BACKLASH a few weeks ago. I say “Diggler” because that’s what Mauro called him at one point. Lots of near falls, edge of your seat wrestling, lots of build up for Dolph to lose the match and then Maryse tries to spray something in Ziggler’s eyes, she gets thrown out, more near falls, more edge of your seat wrestling and finally…
WINNER VIA PINFALL: THE MIZ
He sprayed Ziggler while the ref wasn’t looking, hit the Skull Crushing Finale and rolled out of the ring. An ad for Cena and Ambrose, Randy sssslllloooowwwlllyyyyyy walking down the hall into commercial.
As soon as we come back from commercial, Randy is ssssllllooowwwwwllllyyyy walking out to the ring. Rowan already had his entrance.
MATCH. 04: RANDY ORTON v ERICK ROWAN (SINGLES MATCH)
A ton of power moves begin this match, the pace gets slowed down in the middle and then a quick… like, really quick ending.
WINNER VIA PINFALL: RANDY ORTON
After the match, Bray is seen on the tron and starts talking about them having their match and how they’re destined. Commercial break.
Back from commercial and all Women are in the ring except for Naomi… because crazy entrance is needed.
MATCH. 06: NIKKI BELLA/NAOMI v CARMELLA/NATALYA (WOMEN’S TAG-TEAM MATCH)
Match was thrown out due to Carmella beating up Nikki and we go to backstage to see AJ Styles being interviewed. He talks about how neither guy is his rival, because they’re not his equal. He’s beaten them both, he’s the World Champion and he’s superior.He can’t wait to see them tear each other apart tonight. Commercial break.
Back from commercial and we get quick entrances for Cena and Ambrose…
MATCH. 07: JOHN CENA v DEAN AMBROSE (SINGLES MATCH)
They’re strained for time right now, moving things along quickly. They don’t have that exra time RAW does and NEEDS to be done by 10pm. Hurry, hurry! A lot of power moves, near falls towards the end, still managed a commercial break, a couple finisher moves into kickouts and then something interesting happens…
WINNER VIA PINFALL: DEAN AMBROSE
Ambrose and Cena have a staredown, AJ Styles comes from out of nowhere and Peyley kicks Dean. Daniel comes out and announces that next week on SMACKDOWN. AJ is screaming, turns around and into the Dirty Deeds. Show goes off with Ambrose standing tall on the ropes. Goodnight everyone!
