The road to Survivor Series continues abroad. Heated rivalries morph into unlikely pairings, as Team Raw takes shape for both the men’s and women’s teams.
Monday Night RAW is LIVE for fans in Manchester, England at the Manchester Arena.
Hall of Fame MizTV
The IC Champ doesn’t hesitate to tear into his would be opponent, US Champ Baron Corbin, for several moments before calling out the Raw GM.
Angle is quick to inform Miz that Braun Strowman will blockade his path tonight, appeasing US fans looking to see Miz torn apart.
Guitar On A Pole Match
Let’s not draw this one out. To take a page from fellow Scrum Writer Nathan, this was very, very “ugly” and hopefully this wraps up a feud with don’t want to “drift” with anymore.
Move both men on and let them develop fresh stories with new faces.
Jason Jordan is a part of team Raw, perhaps filling in for Roman Reigns?
Assembling Team RAW
Samoa Joe manhandled Titus O’Neil before their scheduled match even began. He demanded fresh competition and more importantly, stronger competition. Cue Finn Balor.
The man behind the “Demon” is up to the task. They brawl and it ultimately leads to the match being called off and both men find themselves added to Team Raw.
They’ll join Braun Strowman and team Captain Kurt Angle with one more name to be added in the next week or so.
Bayley and Sasha Banks come away with a victory over Alicia Fox and Nia Jax after Banks submits Fox. Similar to the story with Balor and Joe, it leads to the faces joining the Raw women’s team, in the form of Banks, but not Bayley. We have one more spot. It’s probably hers next week.
Domination
Asuka wins in record time yet again, dismantling local talent and earning herself another victory.
The enhancement talent quickly taps to the Asuka Lock and it appears that we are seeing the potential rekindling of an NXT story that we’ve all read and enjoyed where an undefeated Asuka is dominant and feared.
She’s also now a part of team Raw.
Overwhelming Odds
As expected, the Miz takes the easy way out against his much larger opponent in “The Monster Among Men”.
Strowman has has way with the champ and both Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel had seen enough, interfering and causing the DQ finish.
“The Demon” Kane joins the assault, but their appearance doesn’t help matters as Strowman clears the ring and stands tall, looking as menacing as ever.
How You Doin’ Bruiserweight?
UK Champ Pete Dunne is the opponent for Enzo Amore tonight. Kalisto is ringside for commentary.
The fans hunger for the incredible talent and his brilliant arsenal of maneuvers.
He doesn’t disappoint and the Cruiserweight Champion eventually meets his “bitter end” thanks to the young Dunne’s finisher. Enzo is left laying and the crowd goes ballistic.
Brock Lesnar will be a feature attraction on next week’s Monday Night Raw where he’ll be sure to address the Smackdown world champion, the “Modern Day Maharaja” Jinder Mahal and his unflattering words. What will the Beast do or say? We’ll find out next Monday Night!
Distractions for now Former Champions
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose hear the music of the New Day. They turn their attentions to the entryway ramp, ready for war as it appears that Smackdown is trying to invade Raw once again this week.
Kurt Angle and the Raw roster flank the ring, ready to defend their territory long before Survivor Series is in the books.
It’s enough for members of “The Bar” to take advantage of the situation and Sheamus puts Seth Rollins down for a three count with a Brogue Kick.
Shockingly, we end the show with new world tag team champions as Cesaro and Sheamus do it again. Did they set this whole thing up?
“The Bar” will look to measure up against the Usos at Survivor Series. Will they enter the penitentiary or will the Shield redeem themselves beforehand?
