Will Wrestlemania 2020 will arrive to Tampa Bay for the first time ever!?
Will it happen?
Various wrestling journalists rumored that WWE chose Tampa for the site of WrestleMania 2020. It seems to be getting more and more certain that the “Super Bowl” of pro wrestling will pick Raymond James Stadium as it’s location. Not only would WWE bring WrestleMania 36 to the Bay area, but also NXT TakeOver, Monday Night Raw, and SmackDown Live.
The shows have always been booked along with WrestleMania and other big PPVs. The will comulate in to a week long festival in Tampa and bring along the flow of income to surrounding local businesses. Nothing has been officially confirmed by WWE or Tampa Sports Authority, however PWInsider.com’s Dave Scherer started the reporting and Collin Sherwin of 813area.com following up with his confirmation, that Tampa has been booked. The announcement should happen on March 7 during a press release.

If true, this will be Florida’s fourth time hosting the event, Orlando hosted in 2008 and 2017, and Miami hosted in 2012. Coincidentally, this the year Vince McMahon will roll out is newest version of the XFL, and Tampa has a team. Is Tampa destined to hold The Showcase Of The Immortal? We should find out very soon.
