Women’s Revolution takes over WrestleMania 35?
WWE has confirmed speculation and rumors that WrestleMania 35 will be held in New York at MetLife Stadium next year. The main event is rumored to be Charlotte vs. Ronda Rousey, which will be the first time that the annual spectacular will be headlined by female talent. Current plans, in keeping with the speculated post WrestleMania superstar shakeup, would put the Raw Women’s Title at stake. Ronda all but confirmed speculation that she won’t be fighting professionally again in a recent interview on the Ellen Show.
WWE Hall Of Fame Class of 2018 incomplete?
WWE’s 2018 Hall of Fame class may be complete. The class was first reported late last year by Brad Shepard and has been accurate save for Bam Bam Bigelow. According to rumors, there may be impasse between the WWE and the family of The Beast from the East over financial considerations. There may be a possibility that things may not be ironed out in time for WrestleMania or at all if money or anything else is an issue. Bam Bam Bigelow died in mid January 2007 due to an overdose of multiple drugs.
Grandmaster Sexay beaten up?
According to a report from Dave Meltzer, Brian Christopher aka Brian Lawler, was badly beaten after a fight with Chase Stevens. The fight happened last month in Stevens’ hotel room. Lawler suffered a broken nose, fractured skull, broken orbital bone, and had some teeth knocked out. Lawler was reportedly drunk when the police found him and Stevens was arrested. Stevens wasn’t in custody long as he worked an indie show the following weekend. Brian Christopher was half of the tag team, Too Cool. He was in the WWE from 1997 to 2001 and returned briefly in 2004. Brian was fired in 2001 for illegally transporting drugs across the US-Canada border. He is the son of Jerry “The King” Lawler. The cause of the fight and whether there will be any further legal implications remains unknown.
Asuka heading to SmackDown
According to a report from PWInsider, Asuka will be sent to SmackDown after WrestleMania as part of the Superstar Shakeup.
NXT Takeover: New Orleans selling out
According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, NXT Takeover: New Orleans is on pace to be the first event to sell out for WrestleMania 34 Weekend.
Macualay Culkin challenges Rusev
Macualay Culkin has accepted Rusev’s open challenge and may indeed face the Bulgarian Brute at WrestleMania 34. Mac accepted Rusev’s challenge on Twitter this past Thursday.
SummerSlam moving?
According to the @WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE is looking to move SummerSlam to an MLB style venue for 2019. NXT Takeover, Raw, and SmackDown will also be moving as well in all likelihood.
No steroids evidence of Roman Reigns involvement in steroids ring
Jon Bravo’s anticipated video was released but contained no evidence that Roman Reigns or any other current stars were involved in Richard Rodriguez’s steroids ring. Jon stated that he is waiting on confirmation of evidence contained on laptops and phones that are currently in DEA custody. He claims that Roman communicated under an alias. Barring confirmation of the alias angle or any other sort of revelation, it looks like Roman is in the clear.
