The return of Hulk Hogan?
According to a report by Mike Johnston of PWInsider, Hulk Hogan and the WWE are engaged in talks about him returning to the WWE. Such rumors have been ongoing for sometime but they really intensified leading up to the 25th Anniversary of Monday Night Raw. At the time, WWE issued a statement that shut down the Hulkster’s claims that the WWE was interested in bringing him back but it seems now that Hogan will be returning to the fold. The capacity and whether he’d be in the ring is a mystery. Hulk Hogan has been involved in some of the worst faux pas of the Social Media Age with being caught going on a racist rant during a heated conversation with his daughter, the unsealing of a FBI audio file in Hogan was documented as saying absurdly hysterical racist and illogical comments in an attempt to explain his conduct to his attorney , and the wife swapping sex tape scandal. It’s thought that Hogan be an ambassador, he could become Braun Stroman’s mystery partner at WrestleMania 34, a replacement for Daniel Bryan in light of his impending return to the ring, or an entrant in the 50 Man “Greatest Royal Rumble” event in Saudi Arabia at the end of next month. The decision appears to rest on the reception of WWE’s corporate partners and sponsors on the idea of Hogan’s return.
Molly Holly inducting Ivory into WWE HOF
WWE announced on Twitter that Molly Holly will be inducting Ivory into the WWE Hall of Fame during WrestleMania 34 weekend. It was also tweeted that that Lillian Garcia will be the guest ring announcer for the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal.
Garza Jr. & Ultima Ninja coming to WWE?
According to Wrestling Observer Radio, the WWE is recruiting Garza Jr. and Ultima Ninja. The former tag champs are undergoing medical testing and if all goes according to plan, both will debut in NXT.
Samoa Joe, Jason Jordan, Alicia Fox set to return
Samoa Joe and Jason Jordan are set to return soon. According to report from Ringside News, both have been featured in advertisements for WWE’s May UK tour. Jason Jordan won’t be available for Mania but his recovery is progressing nicely according to insiders. According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Samoa Joe will be feuding with Roman Reigns post WrestleMania and will be in the title picture. Alicia Fox is also expected to return soon after being out due to a tail bone injury.
Greatest Royal Rumble in jeopardy?
The WWE may be in hot water over the upcoming The Greatest Royal Rumble. Aside from the eponymous match, there will be several other title matches planned. There will be no women’s matches and very possibly no women at all for that matter since the event will be held in Saudi Arabia, which forbids women from competing. The potential backlash against the WWE, especially since the WWE is pushing towards featuring women as equal. The lure of a potential windfall from a vast, untapped territory such as Saudi Arabia will make for an interesting dilemma for the WWE. Stay tuned….
