The total roster of Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal entrants is yet to be determined. A rumor has circulated concerning the possibility that this year’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal would mark the return of Kane. He has been absent from WWE because of a requested leave of absence in order to run for the 2018 Knox County mayoral seat.
Jan Ross, the wife of iconic broadcaster, Jim Ross, died Wednesday evening due to injuries suffered from a collision with a car while she was riding her Vespa scooter without a helmet Monday. She was 55.
WWE, Footlocker, and Puma have inked a collaboration campaign for Wrestlemania 33 that sneakerheads in the WWE Universe could appreciate. Limited edition versions of the iconic Puma Clyde based on the Undertaker will be available only in Orlando on April 1. They will be black colorway and will come in a coffin. They are expected to retail for $500. There will also be $199 versions based on Ric Flair, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and these late greats: The Ultimate Warrior, Andre The Giant, and The Macho Man Randy Savage. These Clydes will be white and available in select Puma Lab Footlocker locations nationwide. The Footlocker x WWE x Puma Pack will also have shirts to match featuring with the previously mentioned icons for $45.
Former WWE Divas Kaitlyn, Melina, Maria Kanellis, Summer Rae, and Victoria are among the latest women that have been exposed in the mass celebrity hack that’s been called that’s already claimed former WWE Diva’s champion Paige among the compromised. The hack is revealing more celebrities by the day. Paige’s parents have publicly stated that the beleaguered star is distraught. WWE has no plans to discipline Paige (rightfully so) since the hack was due to a party or parties unknown and the FBI is beginning to investigate. It’s unclear but unlikely that Xavier Woods will face any sanctions since he was filmed having sex with Paige in video that got leaked along with her pictures. His mentioning of the incident during Raw does make this situation that much more touchy given his unwitting role. This adds to the troubles that the embattled Paige is dealing with. She was controversially suspended for violating WWE’s wellness program regulations and has been recovering from a hip injury. The controversy is even more so given WWE’s history of inconsistent enforcement of its policy. She has also made news, and potential enemies within WWE’s administration, with her relationship with former WWE star Alberto Del Rio, who currently wrestles in Impact Wrestling as Alberto El Patron, who left WWE twice after clashes with management which involved controversial circumstances. The two are currently engaged. Del Rio has taken to social media to support his fiancée, as have fans.
Goldberg may remain with WWE after Wrestlemania 33. He was said to be done after WM 33 but it’s rumored that another deal is in the works for him to stay for another feud.
WWE has officially tendered offer sheets to the Hardy Boyz, to no one’s surprise. Talks have only just begun and it remains to been seen what Impact Wrestling’s response will be, as is whether or not the Hardys will return.
WWE has expressed interest in acquiring Ring Of Honor and has been engaged in secret talks with Sinclair Broadcasting to do so, according to Pro Wrestling Sheet. WWE has been in the process of acquisition since January and should it go through, it would give WWE an even stronger foothold in its dominance of United States professional wrestling.
