New Day address on quitting the WWE. A surprise match.
New Day is done.
Big E and Xavier Woods are the advocates to a silent Kofi. The two state that they are done. Done with the way WWE’s treatment of Kofi. After the pouring out from Woods and Big E, they call out Vince McMahon. However, before Vince can finish a sentence Daniel Bryan interrupts and proceeds to tell New Day if they want to quit, then quit. Vince finally gains some control and tells New Day, there is one more path for Kofi. But it will be out of Kofi’s hands and that Xavier/Big E will have win a tag team gauntlet.
Charlotte Flair vs SmackDown Women’s Champion, Asuka. For the title, Flair wins via Figure-8 submission.
A match that started as an exhibition, then became a rematch from ending Asuka’s winning streak and now for the title. The two ladies started off fast with Flair utilizing her height and Asuka countering with her technical skills. Aduka gains the momentum with hard strikes and sends Flair outside the ring. During the picture in picture break, Flair takes control of the match and viciously targets Asuka’s leg. Eventually Asuka fights back, but it was short lived. Flair lands a Spanish Fly on Asuka. This leads to Asuka desperately to cinch in the Asuka-Lock, but Flair locks in the Figure-8 and makes Asuka tap out. WOW, what a poor swerve from WWE, why can’t Asuka be dominating in the ring like before?
Two legends face off. The Miz reaches breaking point.
AJ Styles vs Kurt angle in Kurt’s final SmackDown Live match. Kurt Angle wins via DQ from Randy Orton interference.
What could’ve a classic match, ended in a sour note. These two have a great history from TNA Wrestling to new Japan, but it was squashed. Before the match the two shook hands and embraced. What followed was Kurt quickly going for the Angle Slam. However, it was countered by Styles Calf Crusher. Angle fought out and cinches in the Ankle Lock, after AJ fights out of the hold Orton hits an RKO on Styles ending the match. Kurt Angle rewards Orton with a lackluster Angle Slam. Yeah, it went down like that.
The Miz has a stipulation for WrestleMania
The Miz arrives and is greeted with fanfare, The A-Lister cuts a promo on how Shane infuriated him. Miz goes on that Shane crossed the line when he put his hands on his father and wants a Falls Count Anywhere match. Money McMahon walks out with two stages of security. The first are generic and the second are generic, under used wrestlers. Oh, look there’s SAnity! Shane retorts with that he is feels great that he beat down Miz in front of his father. Decimating Daddy Miz’s biggest “Miz-Stake”. This enrages Miz as the A-Liter takes out 10 men, with Shane looking on.
Kofi’s last chance, another gauntlet.
New Day vs Luke Gallows/Karl Anderson. New Day win via Up,Up,Down,Down pin fall.
Xavier Woods starts the match fierce and hits Karl with a big running drop kick. Anderson and Gallows puts up a short fight, but is met with the Up, Up, Down, Down for a quick pin fall.
Shinsuke Nakamura and Rusev enter. New Day win via Up,Up,Down,Down pin fall.
This time around New Day is taken for a toll. Shinsuke takes control with hard strikes on Woods and hits a running knee strike. Nakamura then tags in Rusev and the Brute continues the beating on Woods. Shinsuke and Rusev hits a pop up knee strike to Enziguri, even Lana gets a shot in. Woods desperately hits a Jaw Breaker, but it makes little difference as Shin/Rusev keep him away from Big E. Eventually the power house of New Day is tagged in and works over Shin/Rusev. The match slighlty breaks down from here and allows New Day to hit another Up,Up,Down,Down for the pin fall.
The last stretch of matches.
One of New Day’s biggest rivals, The Bar enters.
There is no love lost between these two teams and The Bar shows it. Sheamus starts beating an exhausted New Day and a tired Big E is treated to a Swing to Sharpshooter from Cesaro. Woods finally gets a hot tag and is on fire, landing numerous shots on The Bar. Woods hits a top rope leg drop on Sheamus, but Cesaro breaks up the count.
After the break, The Bar is in control again wearing down Big E. Sheamus goes for a top rope maneuver, but is caught in mid air by Big E and slammed. Woods is now tagged in again, but can’t find his footing and is put in the Double White Noise. However, Big E interrupts the move and it allowed Woods to roll up Sheamus for the pin fall. After the match, an irate Bar attacks New Day. Beating the duo down and putting Big E through a table.
Another huge rival, The Uso’s enter.
A severely beaten looks on as one their greatest rivals enter the Gauntlet. The Uso’s seemingly are chomping at the New Day that has been through war. However, the anti-heroes grab the mic and states that they have been to wars with New Day and hold much respect for them. The Uso’s also state that there is no one more deserving in being in a title match at WrestleMania for the title, like Kofi Kingston. So the Uso’s decide that now is their chance to help and forfeit the match. Leaving Daniel Bryan and Rowan bathed in complete anger backstage.
One last chance.
A beaten New Day vs the fresh Champions of the Planet.
After destroying the locker room in a mad fit, Daniel Bryan and Rowan walk out and takes out their anger out on New Day. This pretty much turns in to an all out brawl, with semi rules. The Organic tag team works over the Brother’s of the Chosen One. Yet their anger is their downfall, WBryan has Big E in a Half Boston Crab hold after targeting Big E’s leg. Woods reaches down and breaks up the hold, with Rowan angrily intercepting. However, Rowan is met with Woods flip dive outside and now the Planet’s Champion biggest fear is forming.
Big E catches Daniel Bryan in mid air for a side slam and Woods takes out Bryan. Rowan now standing, goes to take out Woods with an Iron Claw Slam trough the announcer’s table. However, the one legged power house, Big E has other plans. Breaking up the maneuver and pins Rowan under the table, for a ten count. Kofi Kingston WILL have his championship match at WrestleMania! Kofi runs out to thank his “B+” brothers and so does the locker room. After the celebration, Vince states that can a “B+ Player” win at WrestleMania. Yes, Vince a “B+ Player” can… yes he can.
