With the Elimination Chamber less than 24hrs ago. What will be the fall out? Is Asuka healed up? Did John Cena’s road to WrestleMania end last night? What is the case for the Intercontinental Championship? What is next for Ronda Rousey? A showdown between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns?

 

Blissful start off.

The Raw after the Elimination Chamber starts off with the first ever Women’s Elimination Chamber winner, Alexa Bliss. She cuts a promo on how she is the best. Alexa pays her respect to Mickie, who arrived with her. But than let others know from Absolution to Sasha Banks to Bayley. That it is her time and no one can take it from her. Yep, Asuka’s music hits. Alexa taunts Asuka in the ring. In which is never a good thing. Before Asuka can take out Alexa. Nia Jax music hits. Then a brawl between Asuka the three took place. Sasha Banks and Bayley arrive to save Asuka and a match is made.

6 Women Tag Team Match.

Sasha Banks, Bayley, Asuka Vs Alexa Bliss, Mickie James, and Nia Jax. Sasha Banks starts out the match. Which made her take most of the beatings. Alexa’s team took turns on wearing down Sasha as she desperately tries to tag out. Nia jax hits a fierce shoulder block a Sasha outside the ring. Knocking her senseless. Sasha musters up a fight and finally gets a chance to tag Bayley. But Bayley hops off the apron, leaving Sasha out to hang. Asuka eventually makes it in the ring, and locks in the Asuka-Lock on Mickie James for the win. The friendship between Sasha and Bayley takes another hit.

Many roads for John Cena.

Cena comes out to cut a prom on he failed twice on having a match for WrestleMania. One being the Royal Rumble and the other the Elimination Chamber. He does what fans wanted to hear. He calls out the UNDERTAKER for a WrestleMania match!! Alas, he says it will not happen. Just like it almost happen, but never did. He announces that with his “Free Agent” he will appear on Smackdown Live and find another way.

The Eater of Worlds continues the Woken War.

Bray Wyatt comes out to a match. With who? I’m not sure. Heath Slater and Rhyno were present. But Bray Wyatt just squashes both men. Even delivering an awesome sidewalk slam on Rhyno. Afterwards, Bray cuts a promo on how the war between The Woken One and The Eater Of Worlds is not over.

The greatest Intercontinental Champion?

The Miz comes out for a promo on how he is THE GREATEST Intercontinental Champion of all time. The way he states is case is intriguing. He is only 62 days away from becoming the longest reigning I.C champion of all time. Miz does what he does best. Cuts a promo that balances a shoot and a work. Probably the best one ever to do so. He even calls out the legitimacy of the Universal Championship. The Miz says that Kurt Angle told him that his match tonight “might” determine his WrestleMania match. Seth Rollins enters.

Seth Vs Miz

This is a non title match. Seth takes it to The Miz. However, just like every Miz match the Miztourage interferes. After both men swaying for control of the match. Seth hits a Superplex to Falcon Arrow combo. Shortly afterwards, Seth hit a Frog Splash from 3/4 quarters away!! Rollins secures a 3 count for the win. As Seth basks in the win. Finn Balor music hits. Stealing the thunder from Seth’s win. Rollins is disgusted and leaves. But wait… is The Miz going to have to wrestle another match?!

Finn Balor Vs The Miz

The match Kurt Angle seemed to be talking about was the Finn vs Miz match. Finn sized up The Miz and the Miztourage immediately attacks Finn. Anderson and Gallows music hits. Coming in to rescue their best friend. As the chaos continues, Kurt Angle appears on the Titantron. Stating that BOTH the Miztourage and the Balor Club are banned from ringside. Also, if The Miz wants a WrestleMania match. There must be a pin fall during this match. With both teams banned. Finn and Miz continue the match. The Miz gave a strong showing. Wrestling for close to 40mins between both matches. But Finn hits the Coup De Grace for the win. Now there is TWO contenders for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania.

The Big Dog enters.

Roman Reigns walks out. He is greeted with usual boos. He states that he wanted to go face to face with Brock Lesnar tonight. But Lesnar couldn’t make it. Roman then in what looks like a shoot. He calls out Brock in being a “Self entitled” person “hiding behind his contract”!

WHAT?! I was just as shocked as any audience member hearing that. It seems the WWE is positioning for a power move. Since Brock Lesnar’s contract is over after this year’s WrestleMania.

The Bar vs Titus Worldwide. 2 out of 3 falls match.

This match felt like an impromptu match. With Sheamus Brogue kicking Titus within seconds for the 1st fall. That quick. Apollo Crews starts off the 2nd match. In which, was better. There was spots where Titus looked strong. Tossing The Bar around. Apollo continues to impress with his strength and agility. However, The Bar is The Bar. Grinding down Titus Worldwide in to a 2nd pin fall. The Bar cuts a promo after their match. Stating that they are most likely going to be punished in not having a WrestleMania match, because they beat everyone. I agree.

The Drifter sings about a Monster.

Elias comes out and does what Elias does best. Cuts a song promo on Braun Strowman. Now fans of the WWE know that is not a smart move. The Monster Among Men comes interrupts the song and starts the match. Elias comically runs away from Braun. However, Braun chases Elias outside the ring. Elias see an opportunity and attacks Braun. Yet, throughout all of Elias’s planning. Braun powers though and destroys Elias. They both ended outside the ring. Elias pulls out a fire extinguisher, blasts Braun in the face, and gets disqualified. Elias continues to attack Braun with the fire extinguisher. But Braun is Braun and gains the upper hand. He chases Elias on the ramp. The Monster was about to slam Elias through the announcer’s table. But The Drifter escapes backstage.

Enter Rowdy Ronda Rousey.

HHH and Stephanie walk down the ramp. Steph goes on a quick speech on how she understands why Ronda did what she did. Steph said it was the reason on why she slapped her. It was the way they are. Then Steph goes on to say that after Ronda signed that contract. She is WWE property. Steph asks Ronda to come out and peacefully explain herself. Ronda music hits. But Ronda is running towards the ring. With HHH and Steph making a quick exit. Kurt Angle comes out to plead to Ronda in stopping. He explains that this is his fault. He lied about everything he said at the Elimination Chamber. Steph and HH re-enter the ring. After they reconcile, somewhat. Ronda asks Steph to apologize for the face slap she received. Steph makes a fake apology. Then HHH knocks out Kurt Angle.

 

Road To WrestleMania being set.

This Raw show was underwhelming. Just like the Elimination Chamber it followed. I’m not sure the Brock Lesnar spot was a shoot or work. But the third hour seemed heavily unscripted. Everything felt forced. The Miz makes a great case on being the greatest I.C champion. Even doing a light version of Seth Rollin’s Ironman match from last week. We have six weeks until WrestleMania. Hopefully WWE can get back on track for the biggest Sports Entertainment event of the year.
