In what might be considered the gift that officially keeps on giving, the WWE Universe as well as the man himself, Daniel Bryan, received huge news earlier today.
After years of attempting to get clearance to return to active in-ring competition, and after seeing a litany of doctors, Bryan finally received the green light to resume his in-ring career.
Bryan loves to compete and it’s been widely known that even while acting as Smackdown’s general manager, it’s been a huge point of contention as he was cleared from professionals outside of the WWE, but would not find himself cleared from WWE’s leading medical director, Dr. Joseph Maroon.
Bryan sat down with the medical team and Dr. Maroon again today and after reviewing his medical history, the data from the outside sources and after undergoing comprehensive neurological and physical evaluations, he was cleared.
WWE was surely set to lose Bryan to the independent scene if he wasn’t cleared, as he was willing to bet on himself and the determinations from the outside professionals, but that seems null and void now.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were set to do business with Shane McMahon in some form or fashion at Wrestlemania, and now it looks as is a tag team match is in the works!
Ticket sales are sure to see a meteoric rise after this news, and we add another tremendous match-up to an already groundbreaking card.
We at the Scrum Sports couldn’t be happier for Bryan and his family and we look forward to supporting his body of work for years to come as he returns to doing what he loves and what he does best, and that’s performing in front of a multitude of fans!
