Brian Christopher Lawler’s mark in WWE.
Lawler joined the WWE in 1997. Still wrestling under the name Brian Christopher. In 1998, Brian teamed up with Scott “Too Hot” Taylor and formed the tag team Too Much. Later in 1999, Brian and Scott changed their in-ring names. To the more known Grandmaster Sexay, Scotty 2 Hotty, and the team’s name Too Cool. The Cool duo reached immense popularity after teaming with Rikishi. Having won the WWE Tag Team titles and top card feuds with the McMahons and HHH. After a much disliked Rikishi story angle and getting arrested for transporting illegal drugs, he was later released from the WWE.
After WWE.
The troubled former champion would bounce around the indie circuit, landing in TNA Wrestling for two years. Briefly he reappeared in WWE back in 2004. Only to be let go again, after a change in management. Back in the indie circuits. He had various matches against other former WWE wrestlers Tommy Dreamer, Umaga, and Orlando Jordan.
Lawler’s legacy in pro wrestling.
Despite mostly looked at as a mid-carder, they made their way to being a crowd favorite as Too Cool, they were always the baby faces and the crowd loved them for it. Although Brian was the son Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler, but he never wanted to capitalize on his father’s fame. Opting to try in making it by himself. Grandmaster Sexay and Scotty Too Hotty will always be remembered as the fun-loving, dancing, crowd pleasing tag teams for generations. May Brian Christopher Lawler find his peace he was looking for in life.
