Longo Continues Philanthropic Ways

Longoria has a new charitable venture

Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria continues to show that he is an ambassador for the Bay Area.

Evan and his wife Jaime just pledged $500,000 to the Great Explorations Children’s Museum in St. Pete for a new exhibit, Longo’s Cove. When completed, Longo’s Cove will be a 26-foot tall jungle gym that is sure to delight the young visitors to Great Explorations.

“We’ve been members of Great Explorations for years and our children Elle and Nash always light up when we come to the museum to play…Jamie and I see Great Explorations as an asset to our Tampa Bay community and we’re very excited to have a part in its growth” Longoria said in a press release by Great Explorations.

Longo’s Cove

A stroll through Longo’s Cove will help kids improve motor skills, develop strength, and also help with problem solving skills. This new experience will allow kids to build confidence. The same kind of confidence that Longoria uses in the batters box on a daily basis.

The project is underway and will be complete in late-2017. Once complete, kids will be able to climb, improve balance, strengthen motor skills, and use problem solving skills while still being kids and having fun!
