The two-time Gold Glove centerfielder will be activated for Tuesday’s game against the Astros in Houston.
If all goes according to plan, Kevin Kiermaier should be activated off the DL in time for Tuesday’s game in Houston. The prized centerfielder has been on the shelf since April 16th after sliding into second base and jamming his thumb in a home game against the Phillies. He underwent surgery to repair a torn ligament. After five rehab games in which he went 7-for-17 between single-A Charlotte and AAA-Durham, it seems as if “The Outlaw” is ready to re-take his place in centerfield.
#Rays Kiermaier said he’ll work out with team today and assuming he gets through pregame workout okay will he activated on Tuesday

In just 12 games with the Rays this year, Kiermaier was hitting just .163/.250/.233 before his injury.
Robertson could be back by the weekend
More good news for the Rays today as INF Daniel Robertson should be on schedule to be activated on Friday. The 24-year old has been on the DL since June 11 with a hamstring injury. He is scheduled to make a rehab appearance Tuesday for Charlotte.
Archer is still a ways out
Per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, RHP Chris Archer is still a few weeks away from returning to the rotation. He’s due to throw a bullpen on Friday but will need a few rehab starts before being activated off the DL (abdominal strain).
