“Why set a mediocre goal, and if you reach it, you’re nowhere? Some people say, ‘only set a realistic goal.’ But how do you know what’s realistic and what’s not? Until you try to attain it, you’ll never know. If you can’t dream and hope, I don’t know why you’re here.”- Rod Woodson via profootballhof.com
Woodson earned many awards over the course of his career, which included Defensive Player of the Year in 1993. He was also voted onto the NFL’s 75th Anniversary All-Time Team and the 1990’s All-Decade Team. Rod was elected to the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 2009.The 11 time Pro Bowler now spends his days as the assistant defensive backs coach of the Oakland Raiders.
