I’m as surprised as you are trust me. Although Jay Cutler has a reputation of turnovers, he is the best player to put on the #6 jersey in the NFL.
Hear me out.
Cutler was drafted in the first round (behind Matt Leinart and Vince Young) by the Denver Broncos, before being traded to the Chicago Bears before the 2009 season. His raw numbers look good, as he has thrown for 32,467 yards and 208 touchdowns.
The biggest knocks against Cutler is he has only led his team to one playoff appearance, and had extremely hard time controlling the football, with 235 turnover over the course of his career (146 interceptions and 89 fumbles). After being released by the Bears following the 2016 season, Cutler decided to call it a career. Jay wasted no time finding a job, however, as he will be a in-game analyst for Fox next season.
