Every now-and-then an umpire will find himself in the media crossfire. On Wednesday, veteran umpire Laz Diaz found himself as a pretty popular character in the social-media world.

Baseball is full of surprises and you never know what you’re going to see at the ballpark. The odds of getting a ball while attending an MLB game are not good. But, I promise you that the odds of getting punk’d by the ump are much less.
One thing is for sure – this kid will have one heck of a story to tell his friends tomorrow at school.
