The Elimination Chamber from Houston, Texas featured the first ever WWE Women’s tag team champions. A couple of title changes, and a whole bunch of carnage with Kofi Kingston winning the hearts of the fans, again. Without a second of delay, let’s dive in on the outcome of The Elimination Chamber.

The Cruiserweight Championship match. The first ever WWE Women’s Tag team Championship.

Buddy Murphy vs Akira Tozawa. Buddy Murphy retains title via Murphy’s Law pinfall.

A solid match to start the night during the Kick off show. Both men feel each other out and Tozawa gains control with a Sjining Wizard and an awesome mid-air huricanrana. The two stars continue to battle, with Murphy becoming frustrated in not being able to put away Akira. Tozawa unleashes a flurry of offense, in which included an inverted huricanrana, a suicide dive , and a Senton Dive. Murphy kicks out from a very close three count, then Akira puts Murphy in the Octopus hold. However, Murphy powers out and hit Murphy’s Law for the win. This match could’ve really shined if it had more screen time.

WWE Women’s tag team title match, in the Elimination Chamber. Contestants: Sasha Banks/Bayley vs Mandy Rose/Sonya DeVillle vs IIconics vs Riott Squad vs Nia Jax/Tamina vs Naomi/Carmella. The Boss N’ Hug Connection wins first ever title via Bank Statement submission.

After the parade of entrances from each of the tag teams, Boss N’ Hug start off against Fire and Desire. The two teams start off fast, knocking each other around. Sonya Deville and Rose gain control over Bayley and Banks early on. It was short lived as Bayley hits a suspended neck breaker on Rose. The first pod opens up and the Riott Squad enters the fray. Liv Morgan and and Sarah Logan gains Sasha and Bayley’s attention, after taking out Rose and DeVille.

After Riott Squad take down Sasha and Bayley with a quick flurry of hits, and slams in to the pod, Deville/Rose and Riott Squad face off. The two teams furiously attack each other, ending with a botched right hand blow from DeVille on Liv Morgan. Then Sasha and Bayley attack the downed teams, Bayley climbs to the top turnbuckle, but it is turned in to the Tower of Doom suplex by Rose/DeVille and Riott Squad. The IIconics pod opens up and they frantically try to cover any downed opponent. The IIconics were not successful and then turn to actually fighting. Displaying nice team work, while constantly yapping. They pick apart Banks/Bayley and still get a two count. Frustration sets in for the IIconics.

Pod three opens, and its Naomi/Carmella. The Fabulous Glow take out everyone starting with The IIconics. Eventually, Sonya DeVille gets to her feet and chase Carmella up the Chamber. DeVille pulls Carmella off the chains and threatens a power bomb on the steel apron, but Carmella counters with a head scissors. Finally Naomi faces off against Rose and takes out weeks of frustration upon her. However, with such blind blood lust, The IIconics sneak in a double team pinning combination to eliminate The Fabulous Glow.

 The Irresistible Force enters

Tamina and Nia Jax’s pod opens and a wake of destruction follows. The Destructive Duo take apart every team in the Chamber with pure anger. Nia and Tamina now eye The IIconics, which locked themselves in a pod. It was a short sanctuary, Nia/Tamina pried the pod doors open, and slung the IIconics like ragdolls against the Chamber. Then the Duo followed it up with a Double Samoan Drop to eliminate The IIconics.

Now, the remaining teams attack Nia and Tamina, isolating the two, and hitting team up moves on them. Logan and Morgan take control by climbing a pod and diving on the teams. However their control is short lived as Jax hits a Samoan Drop on Morgan and Tamina lands a splash from onto of pod to eliminate The Riott Squad.

Banks/Bayley recovers and attempt to take on Nia/Tamina, but the two bruisers are too powerful. After separating Banks/Bayley, Jax eyes Bayley for a shoulder charge, Bayley side steps and sends Nia crashing in to a pod. Jax now seeing stars, Banks/Bayley/DeVille/Rose all jump on Tamina, hitting move after move. Finally, the four ladies all cover Tamina, eliminating Nia Jax and Tamina.

The Final Four

The same two teams that started the Elimination Chamber, are now finishing it. They tee off on each other, in which Rose escapes to on top of a pod. Banks/Bayley meet her there and threaten a Superplex, however, DeVille saves her team mate from disaster. Sonya then rams Bayley in to a support beam of a pod. Bayley now out of it, leaving an injured Banks alone. Rose takes advantage of the situation and hits a Bed of Roses on Banks. Only two count is earned, to her disappointment. The injured Banks fights back and attempts the Banks Statement, but can not lock it in due to her injured shoulder. The Boss then improvises and uses her leg to lock in the Bank Statement tapping out DeVille and becoming the first ever Women’s WWE Tag Team Champions.

Smackdown’s Tag Team title match. The Intercontinental title match. The Women’s Championship title match.

The Miz/ Shane McMahon vs The Usos. The Usos win via roll up pinfall.

The A-Lister starts off the match talking about his family and wife. Then Myrese walks out for an announcement,  The A-List couple are pregnant with their second child. Then the match begins, The Best Tag Team in the World, start off surprisingly in charge over The Usos. Showing solid tag team chemistry, and forcing The Usos to regroup. Once the twins do, they isolate the Miz and take it him. Shane finally gets a hot tag in and hits a Coast to Coast on Jimmy, McMahon then gets greedy and attempts one on Jey, but is met with a Super Kick. A hurt Shane then tags in Miz and The A-Lister finds short momentum. The Miz’s gain is hit by Jey’s Samoan Drop, however the A-Lister regains control with a big DDT. Outside, The Miz dodges a tackle from Jimmy which sent him in to Jey. Now Miz clears off a table and calls for Shane to hit an elbow drop. Shane just did that, driving Jey in to an exploding table.

Back in the ring, Miz and Jimmy square off. Miz lands the Skull Crushing Finale after Jimmy hits him with a big Super Kick. The exhausted Miz covers Jimmy poorly, which allows Jimmy to counter and roll up Miz. The Usos win the tag title for the sixth time, tying teams such as The Dudley Boyz and New Age Outlaws.

Intercontinental Championship match. Finn Balor vs champion Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush. Finn Balor wins via Coup De Grace pinfall.

In what was a one sided match for the most, Bobby is complete control over Balor. Displaying his freakish power by slamming Balor around. Finn finally counters a powerbomb and sends Lashley outside. Finn then attempts a suicide dive, but it is broken up by Rush. Lio now in plays a cat and mouse game with Finn, luring Finn ringside to be tackled by Lashley. Bobby now in takes it to The Demon, hits a big spinebuster and is about to land a spear. Lio blind tags in to much of Bobby’s displeasure.

Lio arrogance is the tipping point, with Balor quickly regaining control over Rush. lashley now panicking enters the fray, but is sent outside by Balor, then Rush is tossed outside. the Demon finally lands his suicide dive, rolls Rush in the ring, and hits the Coup De Grace on Rush for the win. After the match an angry Lashley finally has haad enough of Lio’s mouth and attacks Rush. Possibly ending their alliance.

Women’s Championship match. Champion Ronda Rousey vs Ruby Riott. Rousey wins via armbar submission.

One of two squash matches. Charlotte is at ringside to observe the match, after a short interview with Flair, the match begins. Ronda just quickly Judo flips Riott around, hits Piper’s Pit, and locks in the armbar for the win. Very disappointing on using Riott as a sacrifice for story purpose. Riott is a very talented worker and didn’t deserve this showing.

After the match Rosey stares down Flair in the ring, the a hobbling Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring. The Man struggle to her feet with crutches and just goes nuts. Smashing her metal crutches against Flair’s body, then turns her attention to Rousey. At first it seems Lynch is inviting Ronda to get even for what Flair did to her months ago, but decides to attack Rousey with the crutches as well. Becky Lynch has lost it, breaking the bodies of Flair and Rousey with cold metal. The crowd is lapping up every second of this and the attack could restructure the WrestleMania match.

Squash match #2. Braun Strowman vs Baron Corbin in a No Disqualification match. Corbin wins via help and pinfall.

Well, a match we have seen before. Braun smash Corbin. Corbin hurt. Bruan smash Corbin again. Corbin has pals. Corbin pins Monster. That pretty much sums it up. But if you want details, Braun does get in satisfying shots, like a Running Powerbomb. However, Corbin’s friends which we have no idea why they are his friend, Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley interfere. After a spear from Bobby, the trio powerbomb Strowman in to steel steps, allowing Corbin to pin The Monster. *yawn*

Men’s Elimination Chamber match for WWE Heavy weight championship. AJ Styles vs Kofi Kingston vs Jeff Hardy vs Samoa Joe vs Randy Orton vs Champion Daniel Bryan. Daniel Bryan wins via pinfall over Kofi Kingston.

The Planet’s champion starts off the Chamber match.

Daniel Bryan not only can lose his title without even being pinned, but has to start off the Chamber match vs Joe. The Planet’s champ wisely stays away from the Samoan Submission Machine, but it only lasts for so long. Attempting to end the chase, Bryan lands a chop on Joe’s chest. This just help get Bryan in to Joe’s chest chopping path, landing chop after chop and Joe locks in Daniel in submission. Bryan escapes and hits a dropkick to knee combo, and tosses Joe in to the edge of a pod. Bryan continues to escape everything Joe attempts to land. This leads to the first pod opening and it’s…

Kofi Kingston, the newest People’s Champion.

Kofi enters the battle and goes after Bryan, but is met with the champion’s knee to the head while draped across the ropes. Joe goes back to work on Bryan with a vicious chop. Bryan is now on top of a pod to gain a breather, but Kofi is not having it, launching himself to the top and beats the dirt off of the Planet’s Champion. Now with Joe and Bryan staring up st Kofi on top pod, Kingston lands a Falling Senton on the two opponents. Wiping out all three, after Joe works over Kofi and Bryan the next pod opens…

The Phenomenal One enters.

AJ Styles pod opens, and just furiously attacks rivals Joe and Bryan. AJ goes for the backflip DDT on Bryan, but Kofi intervenes and AJ hits a double DDT. AJ now is picking his victims, Bryan again retreating to the chains, Styles lands the Phenomenal Forearm on Daniel. Kofi now battles AJ, escaping a Styles Clash, but met with a fireman carry to knee. Joe now fights to gain control rebounding Styles off the chains backdrop. Joe then locks in the Coquina Clutch on Kofi. Kingston attempts to escape the hold, and Styles hits a Phenomenal Forearm from off screen on Joe. This took Joe by surprise and allows Styles to eliminate Samoa Joe.

Jeff Hardy newest competitor.

Jeff and AJ face off the two exchange blows and it leads the men to fight on top of the turnbuckle. Jeff hits AJ knee and sends AJ tumbling in a scary botch. The two recover, Jeff drapes Styles over the turnbuckle and hits the Swanton Bomb. The burst of offense is ended by Bryans knee charge and eliminates Jeff Hardy.

Orton’s fangs finds victims.

Randy Orton enter’s last, and picks his victims. Systematically taking apart the exhausted stars. AJ Styles thought he can catch the Apex Predator by surprise and attempts the Phenomenal Forearm, Orton catches him in mid air for a RKO. Eliminating AJ Styles. Now Orton turns his attention to Kofi Kingston, hitting Kofi with super elevated DDT. Then the Viper catches Daniel Bryan with a big powerslam, with Orton’s attention elsewhere Kofi hits a Trouble in Paradise to ELIMINATE RANDY ORTON!!

The heart of a champion.

Now down to the final two men and the crowd is in a frenzy that Daniel Bryan once experienced. Both Kofi and Bryan size each other up and start delivering kicks, strong style. Kofi off a pure adrenaline high, offers his exposed ribs to Bryan to kick and mentally throwing Bryan off his game. Bryan regains control over Kofi, but Kingston will not break. Hitting the SOS for a dramatic two count. Bryan again regains control and hits a series of running dropkicks, after the hundredth or so dropkicks, Kofi spring out and his dropkick for another two count. The crowd is desperate for Kofi and it can be heard throughout the arena.

Kofi then viciously rams Bryan’s face in to the steel chains to the crowds delight. Kingston then attempts to throw Daniel in to a pod, but Bryan counters and sends Kingston hard in to the pod. Bryan so frustrated finally locks in the LeBelle Lock, twisting Kofi’s arm around. Yet the heart of Kofi will not quit and Bryan breaks the hold. The two battered men now find themselves on top of a pod. Kofi attempts a superplex, but is countered by Bryan, which Daniel attempts the same. Kofi finally knocks Bryan off the pod and goes for a a Frog Splash from the pod. Daniel rolls away at the last second and hits a Running Knee to pin Kofi Kingston.

Kofi is the real deal.

Through the final moments of the match it played out like a screenplay Sylvester Stallone wrote. With Daniel Bryan taunting Kingston in saying “You don’t belong in here with me”, Kofi rising to every occasion, and keeping the crowd’s faith alive. Every time Kofi attempted a pinfall on Daniel the crowd gasped and groaned when it wasn’t the desired outcome. Daniel Bryan may have defend his title as the 1st man in the Chamber, but Kofi won the true championship, the fan’s hearts. I really this accumulates in to a classic feud between the two, as I can watch them fight again and again.
