Money In The Bank begins to form via a Moment Of Bliss on tonight’s Raw

The historic Rupp Arena hosts this weeks broadcast from Lexington, KY on 4/29/19.

Alexa Bliss comes out to a positive reaction and she hypes up both the male and female Money In The Bank matches. She begins by introducing the four men representing Raw at the PPV.

Braun Strowman is introduced first and he’s out to a thunderous pop.

Ricochet is announced as the second man in the match, and he is many fans dark horse pick to win it all. He gets a massive reaction from the crowd, overshadowing even Strowman’s.

“The Scottish Psycopath” Drew McIntyre is the third man announced and he seems to be the likely and sensible winner. He’s right on the cusp of breaking through and this could take him to the next level.

Baron Corbin is the final Raw entrant for the match and Bliss ignores his accolades as Corbin gets booed out of the historic building. He says he’ll be a two time contract winner. Ricochet calls him a two time loser, mocking his failure in a match against Jinder Mahal.

Corbin uses a terrible comeback and McIntyre shuts him down, referencing stealing the victory last week from him where he then failed to beat AJ Styles.

Ricochet says a few words and then McIntyre shuts him up, quick. Those were great words. Corbin and McIntyre have words and threats fly and then Strowman tells everyone to shut up. Strowman books a preview of the PPV, he and Ricochet against Corbin and Mcintyre. Our first match is booked for after the break.

Braun Strowman/Ricochet defeat Drew McIntyre/Baron Corbin via pin fall after a powerslam/shooting star press on Corbin.

Ricochet played the face in peril for the majority of the face as McIntyre ran roughshod through both he and Strowman.

Braun was laid on the outside after Corbin goaded him into a Claymore Kick, but ultimately, Corbin cost himself the victory after tagging himself in to anger McIntyre again this week.

Corbin ate a right hand from his partner and Strowman quickly nailed a powerslam before tagging in Ricochet, who executed a shooting star press for the pin fall victory.

It’s time to go to the Uso Penitentiary after a break and we are promised something we’ve never seen from the Usos here. They are scheduled for tag team action against the Good Brothers, back to Raw after a late superstar shake-up trade.

The Usos defeat Gallows/Anderson via pin fall after a top rope splash.

Gallows looked good in this match, tearing through both Jimmy and Jey, as did Anderson. Ultimately, the Good Brothers were thwarted as the hot tag brought in Jey Uso, who cleared the ring quick, fast and in a hurry.

Jimmy hit a suicide dive on Gallows through the ropes and then Jey went up top for the splash and the victory.

After the match, we were shown footage of Dash Wilder shaving the back of Scott Dawson, frightening stuff, and this was after we all watched last nights Game Of Thrones episode.

The Revival were out to talk about twenty year friends having each other’s backs, literally. This should lead to a quality match when the two teams eventually do business.

MizTV presents Bobby Lashley after another break and they have a heated exchange where Lashley holds his own via promos without Lio Rush, who’s allegedly in the doghouse again.

Lashley eventually makes fun of George Mizanin and his “baked potato face” and the two men come to blows, leading to a singles bout.

Bobby Lashley defeats The Miz via pin fall after a spear.

The Miz was taking it to Lashley for a smattering of time, but the “Best In The World” Shane McMahon, was out to distract his foe. The Miz kept the pressure on Lashley, but McMahon put a picture of George on the video wall which was enough to allow Lashley to hit the spear for the three count.

After the match, Lashley and McMahon seemed to have formed a new alliance of sorts and that might spell trouble for the Raw roster. Good stuff here for sure.

The Viking Raiders defeat Lucha House Party via pin fall with the Viking Experience.

After destroying the three men last week before the bell, Ivar and Erik did so in the ring this evening to a great reaction for the former War Raiders.

This was a glorified squash as the two men had their way with Kalisto and Metallik, burning through them like a hot knife through butter. They hit their finish, which is a toss into a massive powerslam.

The Raw tag team division got hot in a hurry, Hawkins and Ryder are certainly on notice.

Another “Moment Of Bliss” is up after the break where we’ll find out the Raw women involved in the Money In The Bank match.

Natalya is the first woman announced for the match and then Dana Brooke comes out, annoying everyone in attendance.

Bliss tells them to take their “catty” arguments off her stage. Naomi is announced as the third participant and she has a great chance of coming away with the briefcase and she lets us know about her accolades.

Naomi tells us that the Raw women’s champion is going to get “all the glow”.

Bliss tells them that they’re all embarassing and she sets up an opportunity for a colleague of theirs to hear her name called, being that it’s a huge moment. As expected, Bliss announces herself as the final competitor involved in the match.

It’ll be great to see Bliss back in action and she indirectly tells all of them to “jog on”. Naomi asks for a little “preview” of that match, challenging Bliss, who declines.

Naomi tells Bliss, who complains about her shoes, she can beat her with her shoes on or off. We’ve got a match.

We’re really glad that you’re our friend and this is a friendship that will never ever end!

We get our second installment of “Firefly Fun House” with “Rembrandt” Bray Wyatt as he paints us all a horrific masterpiece of Sister Abigail’s burning cabin, which he hangs up sideways, truly scary stuff there.

He has a conversation with Abby The Witch and lets us know that “Sociopath” is the word of the day with “Rambling” Rabbit. He lets us know that all we have to do is to invite him in before wishing us well.

These are creepy and wonderful. I am literally waiting for these each week now.

Naomi defeated Alexa Bliss via pin fall with a split-legged moonsault.

Bliss referenced not having the right shoes earlier and she kept having to tie her shoelaces throughout the match.

Naomi and Bliss had a solid match, Naomi taking charge of the action early and then during the latter part of the bout after she removed one of Alexa’s shoes.

She hit Bliss with a hip attack and ended it with a split-legged moonsault to carry momentum into the Money In The Bank match.

Samoa Joe and Rey Mysterio will do business in a non-title bout later this evening.

Mysterio, accompanied by his son Dominic, is interviewed about a rough patch in his recent matches, starting at Wrestlemania and then when he was attacked by Lars Sullivan during his first appearance on Raw.

Mysterio cuts a solid promo about bouncing back before sharing a moment with his son, who is in great ring shape, and is a far cry from being the “alleged” son of the late great Eddie Guerrero, who once denoted that he was Dom’s “Papi”.

Here comes the Man! Becky Lynch talks about competing in two title matches at the forthcoming PPV, defending the Raw strap against Lacey Evans, and the Smackdown title against Charlotte Flair.

“The Man” is up to the task. She’s all about competition. She doesn’t care about the odds of her defending both titles. She states that a year ago nobody believed she’d headline ‘Mania, and she did.

Ronda Rousey was unbeaten, until Lynch beat her to become “Becky Two Belts”.

She references how Charlotte held the title hostage and held the main events hostage. That’s not her, she made history not by dodging everybody, but by beating everybody. Bring on the opponents, she says, calling Lacey Evans a “plank”, and she made a huge mistake by punching someone who likes it. Lynch says her beating is coming at the PPV.

She calls out the “Sassy Southern Belle”, who says that it’s just a man to want what they want when they want it. She tells Lynch not let her emotions to get the best of her. She says she’s done talking and they get after it, engaging one another in good old fashioned slug-fest.

Lynch put it on Evans, but she darn sure held her own. Lynch is a savvy veteran, but being honest, I’m impressed by Evans, hopefully she can hold her own on the biggest stage.

The Raw tag team champions are out next for a non-title match against The Revival as referenced earlier during confrontation with the Usos.

Hawkins and Ryder defeat The Revival via pin fall after a backslide on Dawson.

An expected finish here to say the least. They played on the shenanigans earlier in the night and even though Dash and Dawson held their own and controlled the pace of the match, they made a mistake in the end which led to the victory for the champs.

The Miz is asked about what happened earlier involving Lashley and Shane McMahon. He says they got the better of him and he ends up challenging Shane McMahon to a steel cage match at Money In The Bank. That’ll do, that’ll do indeed.

Sami Zayn is out next and I can’t wait to hear what he says this week. He’s been perfect.

Zayn reads us all the riot act again this week, talking about psychological entitlement and how we are all entitled. He talks about discovering loves outside the business once again and then he says the customer isn’t always right.

He isn’t going to delve deep into things as the fine people of Lexington certainly won’t understand things. He says when people don’t get what they want, when they want it, they throw baby fits. He says at four in the morning last week, a “souless” father brings his son up last week to sign an action figure, naturally he said no.

The child burst into tears, do you think that made Zayn feel good? No, it didn’t. It made him sick, because the kid, at age five, has already been taught he’s owed something. Guess what junior? You aren’t owed a damn thing. Zayn nailed it, again. He’s killing these promos. Five star classics are enough for the fans. The fans only will get what Zayn is kind enough to give them.

It’s high time that Sami Zayn takes the power back. With that, he leaves.

Shane McMahon accepts the challenge from the Miz, it’ll be at MITB. Joe and Mysterio is up next.

Joe says he watched the promo earlier and says that Dominic is actually ashamed of his father. He says that Dominic should don a mask just like Rey, to hide that shame. Joe says that Styles used Mysterio last week to beat him, and as a result, tonight, there will be a reckoning. Here comes the challenger.

Rey Mysterio defeats Samoa Joe via pin fall with a rollup in a non-title match.

Mysterio comes out hot, handling his business before he makes his first mistake. Joe is outside the ring and she he slides under the bottom rope for a splash, but Joe gets the knees up heading into a break.

Joe is still in control after the show returns, but Mysterio is able to stick and move, mounting the comeback after he sends Joe into the top turnbuckle before hitting a hurricana and executing a 619 try, Joe counters into a Coquina Clutch attempt, but Rey escapes.

Mysterio charges and Joe hits a uranage. Joe tries to get the win, but Mysterio counters into a pinning situation, leading to a three count and a future title match.

The Universal Title match contract signing is up next.

Both men are introduced and Styles is immediately asked what winning at MITB would mean to him. He says it’s the main reason he came to Raw, to win the Universal Title.

He tells Rollins he likes him, good guy, but he’s got something he wants, the Universal Title. He says when you want something bad enough, you’ll do some unexpected things to get it. He says winners find a way to get things done, and Seth is a winner.

Styles says he’s known him many years and how many times has Rollins been called the next AJ Styles. Faster, younger? Here’s the hard truth, he will never be the Phenomenal one.

Rollins says AJ is right, but unlike the compliment, he never wanted to be the next AJ. He wanted to be the first Seth Freakin’ Rollins. He tells Styles to look around, things are different. The ropes are red and that’s npt Tom Phillips, it’s Michael Cole.

The champ then says this isn’t the house that Styles built, it’s Monday Night Rollins.

Styles says that he knows what Rollins did to get the title, he ran himself ragged. He calls himself the workhorse, he asks how Seth is holding up. The fans are chanting “burn it down”. Styles says he has no doubt, and then he’ll build it back up.

AJ says the reason he asks is because his little brotherhood isn’t there to hold him up any longer, they are gone. He knows he went through hell at ‘Mania, Styles just doesn’t think he has anything left. He’s ready to go now. Never rest, never rust.

Styles says he’s a bulldog, set to latch on and never let go. He then signs the contract.

Rollins says they have a lot of things in common, as well as many differences. He states that their success stories are very similar, but he’s done something Styles never did, he beat Brock Lesnar and that’s why he’s the champion. It’s the same reason Styles is challenging him. He’s holding up just fine and he’ll be at his best when he beats AJ. Rollins signs the contract.

Styles picks up the title and looks at it before engaging Rollins in a stare-down. He hands him the title back and they jaw for a moment before Styles and he engage in fisticuffs. Rollins clears the ring and hits a suicide dive before getting back into the ring and claiming it as his own.

Styles is back on the apron and he nails a Phenomenal Forearm that puts both men through the contract table. Styles stands tall as his music plays and the show ends.
