Has Kurt Angle had enough? Rounda Rousey first opponent.

Following last Monday Night’s Raw. When HHH sucker punched Kurt Angle. What will be the aftermath of the move? Does The Bar have any competition in the Tag Team division? Is Bayley over her friendship with Sasha Banks? How will the drifter Elias deal with Braun Strowman? Let’s dive in!

The Olympic hero is not happy.

Has Kurt Angle had enough? He starts off recapping last week and being sucker punched by HHH. Stephanie McMahon comes out to calm him down. Stating that HHH is not even here and it was just HHH “getting even”. Steph also goes for a comment about how Kurt needs a job to support his family.

It’s time to get Rowdy.

Ronda Rousey’s music hits. She makes her way to the ring. While making sure she greets every ringside fan. Playing the face card hard. When in the ring, she tries to start her promo. But the crowd hijack the beginning. Ronda lets them finish, then starts. Ronda states that one of her contract clauses. That she gets to pick her first opponent. Which is…

Ronda’s first opponent is Steph. But not alone. HHH makes his way down. Kurt states that he is there to “make matches” according to Steph. So he makes a WrestleMania match. Kurt Angle, Ronda Rousey vs Stephanie McMahon and HHH. It is set. HHH tries to attack Kurt. Angle hits an ankle lock. Ronda over looks the fight and Steph hits her from behind, then runs out. Kurt finfishes the ankle lock. Ronda pulls her back in and hits a Samoan Slam. What a start!

Nia to impress with the Empress.

Asuka comes out. She has a match with The Irresistible Force, Nia Jax. With Nia out of WrestleMania now due to her loss at the Elimination Chamber. She is now looking for revenge and that she does. Starting the match with displays of power. Controlling every aspect of Asuka. The Empress of Tomorrow gets some moves in. But Nia just over powers her.

After a commercial break. It is back to the same. Nia over powering Asuka. Even hitting a spinning crucifixion slam. The Empress finally locks in an arm bar. Nia tries to break it. First with a slam. Next she picks up Asuka and slams her in the turnbuckle. Finally, another slam. To no avail, Nia taps to the arm bar. After being in the hold for over a minute. Amazing from both ladies.

The Bar’s new competition?

The Revival vs The Bar. With a WrestleMania title match on the lines. The Revival starts out with controlling the match. Implementing tag team moves. The Bar slowly regain control. The match turns into a fundamental tag team match. Both teams wrestling like a fine oiled machine. Later on in the match, The Revival hit a Superplex/ Frog splash combo on Cesaro. The Swiss Superman kicks out. Cesaro escapes a tag move and hits his Neutralizer for the win. Wow. Who is left for the Bar?

Cena’s Road To WrestleMania

Cena comes out to explain his road to WrestleMania. He states that he wouldn’t get this chance to talk about it on Smackdown Live. If you didn’t know, Cena is now in a title match on WWE’s Fastlane. If you missed it, you can catch a recap here on The Scrum Sports. Goldust interrupts and cuts a nice promo on being over looked. An improve match begins.

Goldust looked good for a quick minute. But than Cena does what Cena does. Hits moves for the pin. I’m not sure what was the plan for this other than fodder.

Is Bayley done being nice?

The ultimate face Bayley comes in for a match vs Mandy Rose. Before the match Bayley is interviewed. She is asked about her friendship with Sasha Banks. Bayley just states that her eyes are now open. Absolution’s ring leader Paige interrupts. Paige says Bayley is too weak and needs a team.

During the match Mandy looks strong. Giving Bayley a run. But Bayley prevails for the win. That leads to Sonya DeVille and Mandy Rose to attack Bayley. Sasha runs to save her. Sasha raises her arm and goes to give her a hug. Bayley the hugger, refuses the embrace and walks out.

Alexa comforts.

I usually do not recap the segments between matches. However, I felt I had to with this one. Alexa Bliss comforts Nia in her loss. Well, the way Alexa can. While Miss Bliss is not the kindest with her words. It showed that she cares for Nia. Either Nia is a great actress or the segment hit a little too close to home. Nia breaks down with tears and I’m sure a few people may have been close too.

A Symphony of destruction

Elias is introduced. This time while cutting his usual promo. He does it with a piano, drums, then to his guitar. after he finishes with his guitar, while walking down to the ring. The Drifter asks for a proper introduction. In which was granted. The lights cut off, turn back on, and we see Elias run. He gets to a limo and tries to drive off. I said “tries”, because the Monster Among Men is HOLDING up the rear end of the limo! Braun Strowman gets to Elias and drags him back to the ring. The Symphony starts.

Braun wastes no time in destroying Elias. Braun does it in the ring, outside the ring, and with instruments. The Monster starts to use instruments to bash Elias. Even the double bass! Bruan gets Elias to lay under a piano, plays a few bad keys, and SLAMS the piano on Elias. Braun gets the pin and we might have senn the last of Elias for awhile.

A Match we thought we would never see.

No, I am not talking about the match between Bray Wyatt and Rhyno. It was a squash match. All to set up Bray looking strong and this. After winning a quick match Bray calls out The Woken One Matt Hardy. Stating the war is not over. Matt Hardy appears on the Titiantron. He agrees that the war is not over. It should be settled in only one place.

The Hardy Compound! If you do not know, the Hardy Compound is where the greatest and polarizing Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy match took place. It was amazingly bad and good. To finally see WWE embrace Woken Matt Hardy is intriguing.

The Mizzies and more

The Miz comes out to give his version of the Razzies. An award show that mocks the Academy Awards. He goes through some hilarious categories and winners. Until Seth Rollins music hits. Seth calls The Miz out. However not alone. Finn Balor music hits. Two men that beat him last week. A three on two match begins.

The match was a usual three on two. Finn and Seth eventually took control. They get the win, right after the match Kurt Angle comes out and announces a Triple Threat match. For the WWE Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania!

The advocate returns.

Paul Heyman the advocate for The Beast Brock Lesnar enters the ring. He cuts a promo that only he can. Heyman calls out people who are upset with Brock Lesnar’s schedule. Stating No one complains about the Undertakers schedule and if they did “It’s B*LL S%*T!”. Also mentioning the UFC championship. He follows up with the Universal Title is “Brock’s B*%$H!”.

If Roman Reigns wants a “face off” with Brock. The Beast will be on next week’s Raw. Roman’s music hits. Reigns walks down for his promo. He still calls Brock a “B*$#H!” and wants to meet Brock Lesnar face to face next week.. Even stating that the company deserves someone who shows up for work. That’s the end.. or is it. We will find out next week or at WrestleMania.

So how was it?

This was a GREAT WWE Raw show! WWE laid out the plans for WrestleMania, with giving Smackdown Live’s PPV a push. Nia looked the best she has since her debut. Strong performers stayed strong. Followed up with strong promos made this was a great Raw show. All for the Road to WrestleMania.
